You have enjoyed my previous article about free Realtime Datafeed for Amibroker and other charting softwares.
Sometimes Chartsdata may mess up or may give some problems so we always must have alternate option in our hand. So I have come up with another application which is made by a friend Avanish of Stocklive.in . This application feeds data to Amibroker exclusively and name of the application is “Realtime DataFeeder For Amibroker”
Features of Realtime DataFeeder For Amibroker:-
- Realtime DataFeeder is very user friendly, even newbies can use it very easily.
- No Format file addition or any other configuration is required in Amibroker unlike other Realtime Data Feeding softwares.
- Back Fill of 1 Min data for one day, 5 Min data for 5 days , and EOD data for last 6-7 years and can be done very fast.
- Data downloaded is in text files so this can be used to import in many TA softwares like Metastock, Fcharts, Excel and others.
- Realtime data comes to Amibroker every 5 secs, 10 secs, 15 secs and 20 secs time interval. You can set your required time interval.
- Supports 180 stocks at a time unlike Chartsdata which have support of only 2 scrips in limited version.
- It works on both Trial and Licensed versions of Amibroker.
Requirements for Installing Realtime DataFeeder For Amibroker:-
- You must have installed Microsoft DotNet Framework v 2.0 and more(Latest)
- You must have account with Yahoo Finance so as to get quotes almost RT.
Things to Remember:-
- While using RealTime DataFeeder for Amibroker you must have logged in to http://finance.yahoo.com
- As data is downloaded from Yahoo server any delay or discrepancies in data or server issues with Yahoo may come.

I hv a query . i hv been using this datafeed in ami for about a month.earlier I used to get many years data in daily view but now since 2-3 days, I am getting data for the last 5 days only. what could be the possible reason
Hi, Suresh ... Rather I am not using it regularly... am using Chartsdata regularly. But for you I tested it.
Datafeeder gives intraday data of 1 min for one day only, 5min data for 5 days only and yes EOD (daily) data for many years.(6 to 7 years)
And still no problem with it. I checked it.

As mentioned earlier I too was getting EOD daily data of many years but for the last 3-4 days I am getting data for last 5 days only .One reason could be I used zoom function in that and probably after that data vanished but I am not sure . although i tried to rectify but could not do it. would appreciate if u could suggest some thing

It seems all things at my end working fine... DATAFEEDER and also AMI.
Now do some checking...
1. Are you using AMI Trial Version? (If it is then your problem might have due to it)
2. Check DATABASE settings and do it either as per the told in the HELP file of DATAFEEDER. Or do as per my database setting which I shared at http://www.traderadda.com/2011/11/best-free-realtime-intraday-datafeed.html
"DO ALL THINGS BY MAKING A NEW TEST DATABASE"
3. Probably making setting as per the Help file would work. If not working then I will help you with TeamViewer or ShowMyPC.

Actually both have their own Pros and Cons. But Chartsdata ... which I prefer and use also as I need only two -- Nifty and Banknifty. And Chatrsdata is limited version it gives only two scrips.
I prefer chartsdata because it gives you data backfilling for 15 days and also I feel that it gives bit more fast data than DATAFEEDER. ( Pls note this is my observation only and may be wrong)
But DATAFEEDER gives you only 1 day backfilling(1 min data) but positive thing about DATAFEEDER that it gives you many scrips at a time. But pls note that scrips other than Index are not RT they are littlebit late.
So my Vote goes to Chartsdata.(as I use only indexes)
